Move the switch up and down along the column to locate the mid-position of rod lash and tighten the two ignition switch mounting nuts to 4.51-7.34 Nm (40-65 in-lbs). Remove the drill bit from the ignition switch locking pin hole.

OK. This is wearing me down. I have a 1985 Mustang GT ...OK. This is wearing me down. I have a 1985 Mustang GT convertible with 5.0 CFI. I can not for the sake of me get it started with the ignition switch. I can jump it at the starter relay and itr will fire up. To date, I have replaced ignition switch assembly including key switch, starter relay and fuse links.
