Operating Gas Station

In order to connect power to each component, the six (6) enclosed wires must be connected to the wiring posts located on the underside of the gas station and the activation button. The process is really quite simple. First, wire all of the ground terminals together. If your transformer doesn’t have a designated ground wire or terminal, pick one. Next, turn the throttles up, and touch a wire from the hot variable-voltage terminal on the first transformer to a similar terminal on the second.

Then solder the Brown wire from the smoke unit wiring harness to one pad and the Blue wire to the other (the pads are interchangeable).

For phasing, start with the Master transformer and the first to be phased. Transformers should not be connected to any track or accessories. In the photo below, the MTH Z4000 on the right will be used as the Master and the postwar ZW on the left will be phased to the Z4000.
